Whats New:

The City proposes to increase the Water Surcharge for all water customers to a sufficient amount to cover our on-going costs to preserve the Water Rights for the City of Winslow. The current monthly fee pf $0.92 per water customer and has not been increased in five years.  The proposed new monthly fee per residential meter would be $2.84.

All commerical accounts would pay a flat $10 based change each month for up to the first 50,000 gallons of water used. Those commercial customers using more than 50,000 gallons of water each month would also be assessed an amount of $15 for each additional 50,000 gallons of water used, in addition to the base charge.

Proposed Property Tax Levy increase for FY 13-14

 

The City is proposing an increase in its Primary Property Tax levy from $332,628 this fiscal year to $342,334 next year.  A public hearing for citizen input is set for 7/23/13 at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, with adoption of the new levy amount to take place at a Special City Council meeting at noon on 8/6/13.

Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) Section 41-725. Comprehensive database of receipts and expenditures of state monies; local reporting

On or before January 1, 2013, each local government is required to establish and maintain an official internet website that is accessible to the public at no cost and that contains a comprehensive reporting of all revenues and expenditures over five thousand dollars of local monies.  The City of Winslow will begin reporting overall expenditure and revenues on our website at the following link http://ci.winslow.az.us/documents.htm .  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the Finance Department.
