The Department will respond to calls thirty minutes out of the City limits in any direction. The Department also has mutual aide agreements with other cities in the area. Station I is staffed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Winslow Fire Department has six full-time paid crossed-trained Fire/EMS personnel and twenty-three on-call positions, some of which are EMS personnel as well.

The EMS staff of the department provides the highest level possible of pre-hospital emergency care to residents of Winslow and surrounding areas. The Department provides both BLS (Basic Life Support) and ALS (Advanced Life Support) with 12 EMS and one IEMTD (in paramedic training). The EMS staff has a successful AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) program with several saves since the beginning of the program in 1990. All EMS providers are required to attend many hours of continuing education to maintain their certifications per DHS regulations and base hospital requirements. The Winslow Fire department has an agreement with Flagstaff Medical Center that provides the EMS staff with Base Hospital Medication Direction.

The Winslow Fire Department is proud to serve the Citizens of Winslow as well as those who travel through, visit and stay in the Winslow area. We are committed to strive to continue to provide the highest level of service possible to our citizens!
